All of our 40+ Licensed Instructors follow strict DMV guidelines on all our Driving Lessons. DMV Requirements for Provisional Permit
- To obtain a provisional permit you must be at least 15 1/2 years old.
- Must complete a California State Approved Driver's Education Course (Online or Classroom) - You can start either course at any age but it better to wait until you are 15 years old but must be at least 15 1/2 to take the written permit test. You will be issued a Certificate of Completion when you have successfully completed the course. An original Completion Certificate must be presented to the DMV when taking your test. We cannot email or fax a copy of this certificate.
Call Aces Driving School at 951-587-2587 to register for either our Online Drivers Education or In-Class Drivers Education or you can click here to Register Online. - Fill out the DMV application DL 44 Application online or at the DMV Kiosk
- Provide your social security number on DL44 Form
- Obtain your parents' or guardians' signatures
- Present an acceptable birth date/legal presence document (Passport). This needs to be an original, copies will not be accepted.
- Bring 1 Form of Proof of California Residency. For Examples of what forms you can bring Click Here.
- Pay the required application fee ($41.00 current price)
- Pass an eye exam
- Have your picture taken
- Give a thumb print
- Pass a written exam permit test - If you incorrectly answer 9 or more questions (46 total questions) on the exam, you must wait 7 days before retaking the written exam. You have 3 chances to pass the test.
What You Need to Get your Driver's License
Hold your permit for a minimum of 6 months.
If you are between 15 1/2 and 18 years old you must also provide proof that you:
- Completed 6 Hours of Driver's Training Behind the Wheel. Aces Driving School will give you the Certificate for Free when you have completed our 6 Hour BTW Course.
- Have driven with a licensed driver for 50 hours of practice, 10 hours of which are night time driving, who will certify you have done these hours.
- If you are at least 17 1/2, you may obtain a permit without a drivers education course. However to get a license, you must bring proof that you have completed drivers education and drivers training or wait until you are 18 years old.
- Please note that the provisional instruction permit (driver's permit) is not valid until you start your behind-the-wheel driver training with an instructor or reach age 17 1/2.
Driver's Education & Behind-The-Wheel Training
When the new student finishes their first behind the wheel lesson our licensed driving instructor will sign their permit so that the new driver can begin driving with a parent or guardian. Please be sure to read the parent/teen handbook and sign below the driving instructor's signature after your teen as completed 50 hours of practice including 10 hours of night driving.
Our experienced instructors will pick you up and drop you off at your location (home, school, church, athletic practice.) Each student will be given three private 2 hour lessons. We recommend parents to spend as much time in the car as possible between lessons to insure their teen has time to practice what they are taught during their instruction. The only way to get better at driving is to drive. We encourage the parents to help their teen become better drivers' for the safety of themselves and others on the road.

How to schedule your Behind the Wheel Driving Test
Go to
www.dmv.ca.gov and click on "Online Services" then "Appointments" then "Behind the Wheel Driving Test Appointment." Follow instructions from here. Make sure you print a copy of the confirmation page and bring it with you to the DMV on the day of your appointment.

How We May Be Of Assistance
Once you have completed the above you will be issued a driver's license allowing you to drive by yourself. There is no required driver education or driver training but Aces Driving School recommends that you enroll in our Behind the Wheel Lessons prior to taking your DMV test.
Aces Driving School instructors specialize in teaching adults how to drive safely and give you the tools to help you pass your DMV test. Our calm, patient, professional instructors will take you comfortably through our step by step process and help you become a safe, confident, and licensed driver. We have both English and Spanish speaking instructors.
We have several different pricing plans for your driving needs. Please call our offices to get set up with one that works best for you. We have the lowest rates in town. If you find it lower with one of our Competitors, we will Price Match it (within 20 miles of our office)

Cancellation/ Refund & School Policies
Just like all other driving schools in our area, Aces Driving School has a strict cancellation and no show policy. To Cancel a lesson, you must call our office at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time to give us notice or you will be charged a $75 cancellation fee. If you are calling during non-business hours to cancel a lesson, please leave the students name, appointment date, time and instructors name if known.
We DO NOT confirm appointments by phone, please write your appointment date and time down. You are welcome to call our offices to confirm your appointment or to ask when your appointment is scheduled.
If we show up to the lesson and the student is not there, our instructor will wait 15 minutes then they will leave and student will be charged $75 for a no show fee. If you running late, please call the office at 951-587-2587 to let us know the status of your arrival so that we can let the instructor know to wait for you.
You must have your permit with you for each lesson (copy is acceptable.) If we show up and you do not have your permit we cannot legally take you on the lesson and you will be charged $75 for not having your permit. Please make a few copies of your permit once the instructor has signed it.
Instructor Disclaimer
All efforts will be made to honor your instructor request. However in an unforeseen circumstance we reserve the right to change the instructor. If you have a special instructor request or prefer a male or female instructor, please let the office know so that we can note your student account.
Time Period to Complete Course / Payment Plan Guidelines & Due Dates
Online and In-Class Drivers Education Courses must be completed within 6 months of registration unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Driving School and Student. Behind the Wheel lessons must be completed within 1 year of registration or there will be a $75 per lesson fee charged for any lessons still remaining unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by Driving School and Student. We asked that if you are having trouble completing your course (Drivers Ed or Behind the Wheel) that you contact our offices to make arrangements for additional time. We understand things come up and are willing to work with all of students.
NO Refund Policy
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL CASH OR CREDIT REFUNDS BE GIVEN AFTER REGISTERING WITH OUR SCHOOL ONLINE, ON THE PHONE or IN OUR OFFICE. We do not give refunds for Students who move or relocate and those lessons cannot be transferred to another student or family member. If you need your lessons all completed in a short period of time, please check with our offices prior to registering with our school.
No completion certificates will be issued until all fees are paid.
Online Completion Certificates / Replacement Certificate Fees
DMV Requires an original certificate of completion for both Driver's Education Online and 6 Hours of BTW Completion. Once we get notified of you completing our online course we will mail you the original certificate usually within 1 - 2 business days. Certificates could take 5-7 Business days to get to you by mail. Please allow for this delay. You may also come to our office and pick up an original copy. If you choose to do this option, please email us or call our office to let us know that you would like to pick it up. We must be notified within 24 hours of completion or certificate will be mailed out and there will be a $10 charge for us to issue a duplicate one to you.
If you lose your original certificate of completion and require a replacement Driver's Education (Online or Classroom) or Behind the Wheel Completion Certificate there will be a replacement fee of $10 for us to issue a new one.

Temecula Valley Driving School respects your privacy and we do not rent, sell, or lease your information to any third party. The details containing your electronic payment are securely transmitted from our payment gateway to our credit card processor for the sole purpose of authorizing your transaction so that we may provide our goods and services to you, the client.
By using this website, you consent to our use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy (last revised on May 1, 2013). We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time without advance notice. Should a new policy go into effect, we will post it on this site, and the revised policy will apply only to information collected thereafter.
